Front Desk ReceptionistWe are a busy Urology medical practice, located in a beautiful new office building on Falkenburg Road (near Top Golf) and are looking for a sharp front desk receptionist to join our team. This is not a boring and slow position, it is fast-paced! You must be bilingual English/Spanish.The Medical Front Desk Receptionist role is responsible for basic clerical tasks such as answering phones, greeting patients and visitors, and scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner. This office supports more than one provider so excellent organizational and prioritization skills are necessary.Responsibilities:Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phoneAnswers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquetteResponsible for keeping the reception area clean and organizedRegisters new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial informationFacilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staffResponds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous mannerKeeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, and monitoring office equipmentProtects patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.Collecting co-pays and patient balancesReconciling end of day collectionsUnderstand and uphold HIPAA regulationsMust have knowledge of healthcare field and medical specialty, medical terminology, knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures, working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred and proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.Computer skills: Electronic Health Records, Outlook email, Windows, Microsoft WordFlorida Urology Partners is committed to diversity and does not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics
