Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to efficiently manage machine operations, including loading parts and conducting manual operations such as drill press and deburring. The role involves using an electric drill for drilling and tapping products and utilizing a wrench for securing fixtures into t-plates. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with machine operations, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage machines efficiently, ensuring parts are loaded correctly.
• Perform manual operations using drill press and deburring techniques.
• Utilize electric drills for drilling and tapping products.
• Secure fixtures into t-plates using wrenches.
• Properly use calibrated precision measuring instruments including calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, and pin gauges.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality throughout all operations.

• Proficiency in CNC mill, machine operation, and saw operation.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, and dimensional inspection.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and lean six sigma principles.
• Ability to read and write at a high school level or equivalent.
• Basic math skills are essential.

• One year of experience with machine operation using HAAS CNC or relevant experience.
• Familiarity with bandsaw operations is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work during 2nd shift hours from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, with optional work on Saturdays for those seeking additional hours. Expect to work close to 50 hours regularly. The production setting is repetitive, yet rewarding, as you tackle challenging setups and focus on safety and quality. Participate in a virtual tour of the facility to understand the environment better.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75/hr.
