Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of communication and training plans for the Child Support Bureau and local Title IV-D staff across Indiana.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create and edit training guides from content provided by subject matter experts.
• Write, edit, and disseminate communications to end users and stakeholders.
• Assist in developing training and training material for systems of record.
• Facilitate webinars by monitoring chat, sharing document links, and troubleshooting access issues.
• Assist adult learners in physical classroom trainings.
• Assist with equipment set up and testing activities for classroom trainings.
• Assist with administrative tasks associated with training registration.
• Monitor group mailboxes and respond to stakeholder questions.

• Excellent grammar and writing skills, including the ability to convey written, technical information in a clear, concise manner.
• Professional demeanor.
• Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft365 suite and Jira.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to learn new information quickly and independently.
• Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing requirements, and work under pressure.

Skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook 365, SharePoint, PPT, Word, Excel and Teams) - Required - 3 Years
• Excellent grammar and writing skills, including the ability to convey written, technical information in a clear, concise manner - Required
• Experience creating and edit training guides from content provided by subject matter experts - Required
• Experience facilitating webinars by monitoring chat, sharing document links, and troubleshooting access issues - Required
• Experience of Atlassian Jira, Confluence and Service Management tools - Required
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing - Required
• Ability to identify and resolve problems using research techniques - Required
• Bachelors degree or higher - Required
• Teaching or training experience - Desired
• Video editing using Adobe products - Desired
• WCAG/ADA compliance - Desired
• Web design/publishing - Desired
• Document/web formatting - Desired
• Title IV-D child support program experience - Desired
