The Hematopathologist will join the expanding Division of Hematopathology within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The role focuses on hematopathology clinical sign out activities including bone marrow, tissue, blood, and CSF specimen interpretation on a rotating basis, and involves shared call coverage, teaching, and multidisciplinary patient care activities. Job Duties Provide hematopathology sign out services for bone marrow, tissue, blood, and CSF specimens. Participate in shared hematopathology call rotations. Teach fellows, residents, medical students, and visiting observers. Conduct didactic lectures, slide conferences, and academic presentations. Supervise resident educational activities including journal clubs and grand rounds. Participate in translational and clinical research activities when applicable. Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and laboratory teams. Support molecular diagnostics and FISH related diagnostic services. Maintain accurate pathology reporting and clinical documentation. Contribute to departmental academic and professional development activities. Job Requirements AP/CP board certification required. Completion of Hematopathology fellowship training required. Strong diagnostic expertise in hematopathology required. Ability to work collaboratively in academic medical environments. Experience in teaching and mentoring medical trainees preferred. Interest in translational research encouraged. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to participate in shared clinical call responsibilities.
