Join our team in Baton Rouge and become part of a company that tackles unique machining challenges, supports critical industrial repairs, and values craftsmanship, innovation, and safety above all else.This is more than a machine shop role—it's an opportunity to work on custom, one-of-a-kind projects, develop your programming expertise, and grow your career alongside experienced machinists, engineers, and field service professionals.Why You'll Love This RoleWork on custom precision parts—not repetitive production runsUtilize advanced CNC equipment and CAD/CAM programmingCollaborate with engineers and skilled trades professionalsExpand your programming, setup, and machining capabilitiesJoin a safety-first culture where your expertise is valuedOpportunities for overtime and career growthRequirementsWhat You'll DoAs a CNC Machinist, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality precision components while continuously improving processes and machining strategies.Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers and turning centersDevelop machining processes, tooling selections, setups, and part programs for custom projectsMachine components to moderate tolerances (±0.005") while maintaining exceptional quality standardsInterpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirementsPerform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipmentManufacture custom precision components supporting large industrial repair projectsCollaborate with machinists, engineers, field service teams, and supervisors to determine the most efficient manufacturing methodsOptimize CNC programs, tooling, and machining processes for quality and productivity improvementsSet up and operate CNC boring mills, lathes, and machining centersPerform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work areaComplete quality documentation and inspection records accuratelyUphold and promote a culture where safety is always the highest priorityWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED2–3 years of CNC machining experienceAbility to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawingsExperience operating CNC machining equipment and performing setupsKnowledge of feeds, speeds, cutting tools, and machining practicesAbility to inspect and verify dimensions including diameters, lengths, flatness, and straightnessBasic understanding of GD&T and conversational programmingStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityPreferred QualificationsJourneyman certification or 2-year Technical DegreeExperience with Haas machining centers (vertical, horizontal, and/or turning)Experience with G&L boring millsExperience with G & M code programmingCAM software experience, preferably MastercamFamiliarity with carbide drills, end mills, inserted cutters, and boring toolingExperience machining ferrous and non-ferrous materialsExperience using Faro CMM or advanced metrology equipmentThe Ideal CandidateYou are a problem solver who enjoys transforming raw material into precision components.
