Shape what comes next.HR Green is growing our Water Resources practice in Florida, and we're looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to help lead that growth. Sarasota is the preferred location, though other Florida locations may be considered for the right candidate.You'll lead water resources projects from planning and preliminary engineering through design, permitting, and construction support. This is a seller/doer role where you'll combine technical expertise and project leadership with client relationships and business development.Your work will focus on hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling, stormwater design, and flood resiliency, with opportunities to address both inland and coastal water resources challenges.Why This Role Stands OutLead technical stormwater work through the full lifecycle: planning, design, permitting, and construction supportOwn project scope, budget, schedule, and quality of deliverablesBuild trusted, long-term client relationshipsHelp grow the Florida Water Resources practice through business development and pursuit activitiesCollaborate across Water Resources, Potable Water, and Wastewater PracticesWhat You'll DoLead the planning, design, and delivery of water resources projects, including drainage studies and design, stormwater management, flood mitigation, flood resiliency, and watershed planningServe as a primary client contact and trusted technical advisorManage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and overall project performanceDevelop and review technical reports, design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permitting documentsCoordinate multidisciplinary project teams and lead QA/QC effortsNavigate applicable Florida regulatory and permitting requirementsIdentify opportunities with existing and prospective clients and contribute to proposals, pursuits, interviews, and presentationsDevelop scopes, fees, and project approaches for new opportunitiesMentor and guide junior engineers and project staffWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field10+ years of experience in water resources engineering or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 monthsStrong experience with drainage studies and design, stormwater management, and hydrologic/hydraulic analysisStrong project management experience, including scope, budget, schedule, and deliveryExperience leading teams and managing client relationshipsExperience with flood resiliency, floodplain management, and watershed planningExperience developing proposals, scopes, fees, and project approaches preferredFlorida water resources permitting, regulatory, or local agency experience preferredCoastal modeling, storm surge, or coastal resiliency experience is a plus; strong inland modeling experience is also highly valuedStrong written and verbal communication skillsBenefitsNot only does HR Green provide you with a place to grow, thrive, and enjoy your work, but we are also dedicated to delivering a comprehensive and multi-faceted benefits package.
