Work Location: 405 Stanley Ave, Estes Park, CO Type of Position: Full Time – 40 hours per week Hourly Rate: $19.23 with uncapped commission Hours: Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Sign on Bonus: $2,500 The Consumer Sales Representative‑Retail is a key contributor to TDS’s consumer strategy to grow, delight and retain customers. The role is the primary point of contact for walk‑in and inbound call customers, owning a thorough understanding of all consumer products and services and maintaining accurate records. In addition to base pay and benefits, the position carries monthly sales goals for key products such as Voice, High Speed Data, TV, Mobile, and strategic content, with commission incentives for meeting or exceeding targets. Responsibilities Deliver sales and retention results through exceptional customer service: exceed monthly sales goals for strategic products, use negotiation and interpersonal skills to prevent churn, ask lifestyle questions to promote services, and resell customers the benefits of TDS services to protect existing revenue. Handle moves/adds/changes/disconnect inquiries by providing billing assistance and offering suitable TDS product solutions. Follow cash management procedures to ensure accurate payment handling and deposit. Resolve construction‑related issues by creating and completing triage tickets. Keep current with promotions, products, and technology to meet or exceed sales and retention goals; maintain punctuality to support customer needs. Perform retail office duties including restocking supplies, unlocking/locking the office, maintaining cleanliness, participating in community events, and coordinating space use with other departments. Lead special projects as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Required Qualifications 1+ year of experience in a sales or customer‑service role. 2+ years of computer experience (including order applications, Microsoft Outlook, Word, or Excel). Adherence to TDS attendance guidelines. Other Qualifications 6+ months experience in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple tasks. Experience handling detailed data. Ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Strong negotiation, selling, and closing skills, especially when reselling disconnected customers. Capability to handle high‑volume phone calls in a contact‑center environment. Understanding of the telecommunications industry and its products. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Problem‑solving skills with customer complaints and competitive issues. Successful completion of classroom training required. Demonstrated success in a competitive sales environment. Willingness to work overtime with advance notice. Ability to work a shift ending at 8:00 PM CST and potential Saturday rotation. Experience managing escalated customer issues and resolution both over the phone and face‑to‑face.
