About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to take on the role of long-term leader and steward of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the transition from a founder-led to an independently governed and professionally managed structure. This pivotal role involves working closely with the existing leadership, building a strong and engaged Board of Directors, and a leadership team to ensure the organization's long-term mission and sustainability. The ideal CEO for the company will be a servant leader, dedicated to the organization's mission of serving individuals in recovery, and will be tasked with recruiting high-quality board members, cultivating community relationships, and developing the organization's capacity. Ultimately, the CEO will assume full responsibility for the strategic direction, operations, and growth of the organization. Applicants for the CEO position at the company should be experienced nonprofit executives with a proven track record in leading and managing similar organizations. The role requires a candidate who is comfortable with the responsibilities of the position and is prepared to make a long-term commitment to the organization. Key skills and attributes include the ability to work collaboratively, a strong vision for the future, and a passion for the mission of the organization. The CEO will be expected to have a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, including fundraising, program development, and community engagement. A background in recovery services or a related field is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
