Senior Payroll Specialist, US Payroll

Senior Payroll Specialist responsible for processing US payroll operations, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and supporting payroll system optimization. This remote role requires managing regular and off-cycle payroll cycles while collaborating across departments and providing stakeholder support.

Responsibilities

• Process regular and off-cycle US payroll, collecting inputs and calculating payments for timely employee compensation
• Ensure payroll transactions comply with internal policies, government regulations, and tax filing requirements
• Maintain process documentation and recommend improvements for efficiency and systems optimization
• Provide customer support by resolving employee and stakeholder requests promptly with clear communication
• Support payroll-related projects with other departments and assist colleagues with Canada payroll processing

Requirements

• University degree in finance, accounting, management, or equivalent payroll training
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Knowledge of US payroll tax laws and regulations across jurisdictions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll accounting principles
• Ability to audit payroll records for accuracy and compliance
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
• Experience managing execution of actions and monitoring completion with stakeholders

Compensation: $68,000.00-$88,250.00 base
