Call Center Representative

Overview ABOUT THE POSITION We're seeking a Call Center Representative to help keep Delaware's transportation network running smoothly. In this role, you'll provide administrative and operational support by coordinating communications, dispatching maintenance requests, and serving as a key point of contact for engineers, emergency responders, government partners, and the public. This position plays an important role in supporting day-to-day transportation operations and ensuring timely response to roadway issues. Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact by answering phone calls and responding to shared inbox inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate and route maintenance requests to the appropriate teams using dispatch systems, work management software, and radio communications. Create, update, and track work orders using maintenance management systems. Communicate with engineers, emergency responders, maintenance personnel, and the public to support efficient transportation operations. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to service requests and operational activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to support career growth. Perform all work in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Skills and Attributes Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook. Experience using work management systems such as Maximo and Tracker is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience as an emergency dispatcher, emergency responder, or in a similar coordination or communications role preferred. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. The hourly rate for this position is $18.50/hr.
