Principal Control System Engineer (Redwood City)

Our Silicon Valley team is looking for outstanding Control Systems Engineers. You will focus on developing an architecture for AI powered mobility solutions to integrate the physical system models with the vehicle’s chassis components (steering, braking, acceleration and suspension).You will be responsible for:· Developing real-time controllers and observers for safety-critical embedded applications;· Implementing real-time control algorithms for desired functionality and safety;· Validating in-vehicle controller performance against functional requirements;· Collaborating with internal and external teams for efficient delivery using best.Requirements:· 3+ years working experience in control system or related fields· Engineering degree in a relevant field of study (control systems emphasis preferred)· Real-time control algorithms implementation in C/C++· Relevant Matlab/Simulink tools proficiency· Understanding of control theory and experience with its vehicle systems applications· Significant experience in dynamic systems diagnostics and fail-safe operation (automotive preferred)· Experience with FMEA, especially in the context of control systems and hardware/software interactions· Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams· Flexibility to take on tasks outside of own comfort zone – quick learner in a fast-paced work environmentPreferred to have:· Hands-on experience in robotic and/or vehicle system design and implementation· Knowledge of Linux, and development on Linux systems· Knowledge of ROS· Experience working in an automotive, aerospace environments· Previous experience with robotic or vehicle systems· Development experience with embedded systems with real-time constraints· Experience in auto safety systems (ASIL B or ISO 26262)They offers competitive salaries with demonstrated experience.
