Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will lead the company’s commercial legal function and drive commercial transactions, from structuring and negotiating agreements to advising on legal and business risks. You will also provide product counseling and support privacy-related initiatives as Poshmark continues to evolve its platform. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, a business-oriented mindset, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including partnerships, technology, professional services, marketing and advertising, and vendor agreementsPartner with cross-functional teams to support commercial transactions and strategic initiatives, providing clear and practical legal guidanceManage and continuously improve contract lifecycle processes, including identifying opportunities to streamline workflows through CLM tools (Ironclad) and AI-enabled solutionsDevelop and maintain templates, playbooks, policies, and scalable legal processesProvide legal counsel to product and technology teams on new features and product launchesAdvise on data privacy and security matters, primarily in connection with data processing agreements and related contractual terms, and support broader privacy compliance initiativesRequired QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school and active California bar membership (or qualified for Registered In-house Counsel status with the California state bar)6+ years of relevant legal experience, with both law firm and in-house experienceAbility to independently draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements with minimal oversightFamiliarity with contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Ironclad) or a willingness to learn, and an interest in process improvementWorking knowledge of data privacy and security conceptsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidanceStrong organizational skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage competing prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting product or technology teams on legal guidance related to product development or launchesExperience with consumer platforms or marketplace business modelsExperience advising on privacy complianceFamiliarity with sweepstakes, promotions, or marketing-related legal requirementsA collaborative team player, willing to take on a broad range of matters as part of a lean legal teamCompensation Range: $180,392 - $254,804LocationUS California (Redwood City) - OfficeEmployment TypeFull timeDepartmentAll DepartmentsGeneral & AdministrativeLegalCore Legal TeamCompensation$180,392 – $254,804 • Offers Equity • Offers BonusThe base pay range listed for this position may span multiple levels of experience, and final compensation is determined by a variety of job-related factors, including relevant experience, demonstrated expertise, and internal equity.The posted range applies to base salary only and does not include additional elements of total compensation, which may include equity, performance-based incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
