Job Title: Civil Laborer and Equipment Operator Job Description

We are seeking skilled civil laborers and equipment operators to join our team for a long-term solar project. Civil laborers will perform essential erosion control tasks, while operators will manage light grading using various machinery. This opportunity offers competitive pay rates, overtime availability, and per diem benefits.

• Perform erosion control tasks such as installing silt fencing, laying matting, hydroseeding, shoveling, raking, mowing, and spotting.
• Operate equipment such as skid steer, forklift, lull, and mini-excavator for light grading tasks on site.

• At least 1 year of civil background and solar experience for laborers.
• Experience with one or two pieces of equipment for operators, ideally with a civil background.
• Proficiency in English or Spanish, with the ability to translate.

• Knowledge of erosion control techniques and construction practices.
• Familiarity with solar panels and related technologies.
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards.

Work on a 120 MW solar project, focusing on civil scope tasks. Operate Monday through Friday with overtime expected. Receive a $100 per day worked per diem. Be prepared to work in all weather conditions, wearing appropriate work clothing and PPE.

This is a Contract position based out of Danville, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
