PEPI: Senior Director, CFO Services--Financial Reporting Advisory (OPEN TO ALL US LOCATIONS)

OVERVIEW

A&M CFO Services works with private equity‑held portfolio companies to preserve and generate value. The Senior Director – CFO Services (Financial Reporting Advisory) leads efforts to improve transparency through accounting and financial reporting advice across transactions and events, including new and revised accounting standards and effective management of financial reporting processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide liquidity and working capital optimization services. Lead strategic analytics and planning initiatives. Drive performance measurement and management. Guide business transformation efforts. Offer financial reporting advisory services. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of US GAAP and technical understanding of accounting changes (e.g., revenue recognition, lease transactions). Provide recommendations and conclusions on the application of complex accounting guidance. Prepare and review pre‑ and post‑deal financial reporting to meet contractual and regulatory requirements. Investigate and remediate unexplained EBITDA volatility, unexpected financial results, or unreconciled accounts. Guide clients through IPO readiness, drafting SEC reporting and providing audit support. Drive working capital disputes to favorable outcomes through settlement or arbitration.

PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS

Data Collection, Validation and Analysis Guide team members in information gathering and ensure all relevant sources are pursued. Lead client interviews, ask inquisitive questions, and understand stakeholder perspectives. Identify knowledge gaps and challenge status quo to validate, disprove, or develop better assumptions. Identify key business challenges, forecast liquidity needs, pinpoint process inefficiencies, and assess organization design and roles. Present issues and opportunities clearly and concisely. Understand accounting and finance process flows and how information consolidates into the general ledger to drive improvement and value creation. Project Management and Implementation Own and complete workstreams based on CFO Services pillars. Ensure project approaches, timelines, and deliverables are logical and accurate. Communicate client expectations consistently. Develop actionable plans (e.g., initiatives to optimize working capital, instill a liquidity‑focused culture, improve transparency). Identify risks and obstacles early, create contingency plans, and communicate timely with clients. Identify when CFO Services pillars are not functioning. Leadership Leverage prior experience to guide and promote innovative thinking. Recognize team members’ skill sets and maximize contributions. Share knowledge, provide coaching, and foster a collaborative environment. Financial Acumen Build and review financial models; provide valuable financial analysis. Evaluate accounting treatments and deliver insights and improvement initiatives to senior management and board members.

ACCREDITATION / EXPERIENCE

Minimum 15+ years of relevant work experience in both public accounting and industry. CPA certification highly preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The base salary range is $175,000 - $250,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. A discretionary bonus program may also apply. Eligible employees working 30 or more hours per week receive fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages. Eligible employees also receive a discretionary 401(k) contribution. Additional benefits include paid time off (vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time, ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave). The number of vacation and personal days varies by tenure and role type.
