Mortgage Post-Closing Document Indexing Specialist

This position is responsible for Indexing and Reviewing signed loan closing documents into Encompass following company's guidelines. Contacting Borrowers, Title Companies or FUBM Closers/Funders for missing or un-signed closing documents and confirming receipt. Working Audit Indexing Loan Request from Mortgage Compliance. Delegating loans to be indexed or that have been requested by Audit to other Post-Closing team members if required.

Major duties and responsibilities include: Indexing and reviewing signed closing documents into Encompass, contacting borrowers, title companies, or FUBM closers/funders for missing or non-signed closing documents, completing audit loan requests and required corrections from Mortgage Compliance, providing back-up for Mortgage Post-Closing Incoming Mail Specialist, providing back-up for Mortgage Post-Closing Scanning/Shredding Specialist, scanning and indexing recorded MTG/DOT and TPOL, and providing back-up assistance to others within the department as needed.

Additional duties include: Performing other duties as requested by Management, completing all required compliance exams on a yearly basis, adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures, adherence to First United Dress policy, and recommending to Manager possible methods to improve department.

Employee specifications for Document Indexing Specialist titles include: Less than 2 Years Mortgage Experience (Specialist), 2-4 Years Mortgage Experience (Specialist I), 4-6 Years Mortgage Experience (Specialist II), 8 Plus Years Mortgage Experience (Specialist III).

Education and work experience high school diploma or GED required, prior banking/mortgage experience preferred, technical/functional competencies basic mathematical skills, proficient computer skills, exceptional customer service skills, good problem-solving and decision-making skills, demonstrates good judgment, strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people, ability to communicate well with customers by all means of communication including written, verbal, and non-verbal communication, ability to use e-mail, phone, and other communication tools are necessary, willingness to accept additional responsibilities, dependable and adheres to time-lines and schedules, takes initiative in development and completion of projects.
