Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, allowing for direct interaction between therapists and patients. You will work as part of a small, dynamic team that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Together, you will foster a collaborative working environment committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address each patient's unique needs and rehabilitation goals through comprehensive evaluations.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, creating individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide patients with the most effective treatment options aimed at enhancing mobility and reducing pain.
• Design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs that address the specific recovery needs of each individual.
• Collaborate with other healthcare specialists to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient care.
• Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in response to their advancement.
• Document clinical services accurately in our EMR system, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patients will primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other mobility-related challenges. You will have the opportunity to work closely with athletes looking to return to their sport and everyday individuals seeking to regain their independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist License for the state of Virginia, with no board or disciplinary actions against it.
• Possession of strong manual therapy skills and an extensive understanding of orthopedic outpatient care.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT or similar systems.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a home care environment or outpatient orthopedic practice will be highly regarded.
• A history of working with athletic populations and familiarity with sports rehabilitation methodologies.
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to motivate and inspire patients while providing compassionate care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time physical therapist position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
