Work Environment

This position is onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Virginia Beach, where you will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. The facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic modalities, exercise equipment, and a welcoming atmosphere conducive to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, needs, and goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, including both manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain thorough documentation of services provided.
• Educate and empower patients to manage their conditions and promote self-care through tailored fitness and wellness programs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide integrated and holistic patient care.
• Advocate for non-surgical interventions and explore alternative therapy options to minimize medication reliance.
• Stay current with industry trends, treatment protocols, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and quality care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals covered by private medical insurance, including adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. We focus on delivering high-quality, personalized care tailored to each patient's needs, promoting optimal recovery and functional enhancement.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active Virginia state licensure as a Physical Therapist with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing effective exercise routines tailored to individual recovery goals.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and treatment tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Background in managing complex cases with a focus on patient-centered goals and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate patients and enhance their engagement in their recovery process.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
