Diesel Technician

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Sharonville, Ohio. This role offers stability, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay: $36.13 Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification up to $700 Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year) Schedule: Monday through Friday, weekends off Hours: Second Shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm No experience needed On‑the‑job paid training PPE and uniforms issued Tool and boot allowance provided State‑of‑the‑art equipment Safety is the first priority Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred) Basic tools (required) Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including: Routine preventive maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire work (required) Two (2) years or more of classroom training and work experience (preferred) Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred) This position requires you to drive Ryder vehicles. In order to become a Ryder employee you must: Obtain CDL within 6 months after hire Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Responsibilities Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties Perform standard vehicle maintenance Perform standard component inspections and repairs Perform preventive maintenance Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required Replace defective components as instructed Perform facility maintenance duties Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints once assigned a task Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available Work in accordance with all federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT) Perform other support duties as required to support operations, which may include but are not limited to Service Island support Company Culture & Commitment At Ryder, you will be recognized and respected for your expertise and skill.
