About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will be a strategic leader and a people-centered partner, guiding the organization's financial stewardship in support of its research, education, and advisory service mission. This executive-level position is responsible for formulating and executing strategic financial and operational plans, establishing a financial culture that aligns with the organization's mission, and modernizing the financial function to meet the needs of an innovative and growing institution. The CFO will also be tasked with developing and enforcing financial policies and procedures, as well as leading a team of financial professionals with a service leadership mindset. The ideal candidate for the CFO role at the company will be a seasoned financial professional with a background in higher education, possessing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a master's degree is preferred. They should have a proven track record of strategic leadership in financial and administrative functions, outstanding financial expertise, and experience in financial modeling and analytics. The CFO must be a mission-driven leader, capable of building strong relationships, and a creative thinker who can develop innovative solutions in support of the organization's goals. Responsibilities also include partnering with unit heads, faculty, and staff to resolve financial issues and engaging with external stakeholders, such as the central finance and administrative offices and the Board of Visitors.
