Systems Engineer

Responsibilities We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide onsite support and enhancements for our client. They utilize a Microsoft-centric infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 (O365). This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running with level 2 and level 3 based support with a desire to grow within a rapidly expanding organization. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-first infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across enterprise systems. This position requires someone who is a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow. This is a direct hire opportunity working onsite Monday-Friday in the office located in either Barrington or Chicago, IL with the possibility of up to 10% travel throughout the midwest. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud, or infrastructure roles Hands-on experience with: Microsoft Azure Microsoft 365 / O365 administration Windows server environments Exposure to cloud architecture and infrastructure design Exposure to security practices and tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments would be a plus Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell or similar) would be a plus Exposure to enterprise security tools and frameworks would be a plus Relevant certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.) are a plus Must have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance with reliable transportation Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship We focus on candidates that display our “ACE” factor – Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm to deliver quality solutions with exceptional customer service.
