Job Overview The TE Connectivity Sourcing Analyst IV is a senior commodity leader responsible for developing and executing multiyear global sourcing strategies that drive TE’s objectives for cost, quality, delivery, innovation, risk reduction, and sustainability. The role requires deep supply market expertise, strong cross functional influence, and the ability to convert business requirements into executable sourcing roadmaps. This position leads end-to-end strategic sourcing, including market intelligence, competitive bidding, negotiation, supplier development, and long-term contracting, while advancing TCO improvements, cross-region collaboration, and lifecycle support. In addition, the role provides guidance and informal mentorship to junior sourcing analysts. Core Competencies 1. Strategic Thinking & Commodity Strategy Development Develops and owns multi-year commodity strategies aligned to business objectives, manufacturing requirements, and product roadmaps. Synthesizes market intelligence, cost drivers, geopolitical trends, and supplier capabilities into actionable strategy recommendations. Anticipates future supply needs and identifies alternative sources to ensure continuity and competitiveness. 2. Supplier Relationship Management & Development Builds strong supplier partnerships that drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement. Leads supplier performance reviews, corrective actions, and capability building initiatives including cost modeling and value engineering. 3. Negotiation & Contract Management Leads complex negotiations using TCO, cost models, and competitive insights. Develops and manages long-term agreements in collaboration with Legal and cross-functional partners. 4. Cross Functional Collaboration & Influence Partners with engineering, operations, product management, and finance to align sourcing with business priorities. Communicates strategies, risks, and recommendations effectively, influencing decisions through data-driven business cases. 5. Execution Excellence & Process Optimization Executes sourcing events (RFPs, bid evaluations, supplier selection) to consistent global standards. Uses analytics, KPIs, and cost modeling to track performance and drive continuous improvement in cost, risk, and processes. 6. Risk Management & Compliance Identifies and mitigates risks related to supply continuity, capacity, geopolitics, quality, and financial stability. Ensures adherence to TE policies, ESG requirements, regulatory standards, and documentation governance. Job Requirements 5–7+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, or advanced Procurement roles. Demonstrated experience leading global sourcing strategies and delivering measurable results. Strong supplier management and supplier development background, ideally in a manufacturing or engineered‑products environment. Expertise in cost analysis, should‑cost modeling, and understanding of manufacturing processes. Proficiency in Excel, data analytics tools, and sourcing dashboards; SAP PR2 or S/4 HANA experience preferred. Strong negotiation skills with proven success in complex contract management. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, executive‑level presentations). Project management experience strongly preferred. Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence without authority in a global matrixed environment. Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level. Compensation Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $113,000- $142,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
