Position Purpose: The Sales Reporting Manager leads a dedicated team responsible for end-to-end sales reporting and operational activities that ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role is pivotal in overseeing daily service delivery, period-end execution, data integrity, internal controls, and ongoing improvements across sales reporting processes. The Sales Reporting Manager collaborates closely with Revenue Accounting, Sales Audit, IT, Finance, and various cross‑functional stakeholders, including offshore teams as needed, to ensure that reporting outputs align with business, compliance, and leadership expectations. Success in this role demands excellent people leadership skills, operational discipline, a deep understanding of sales and revenue data flows, and the capability to translate complex data into clear insights for business partners and leadership. Key Responsibilities: Collaboration (10%): Utilize past experiences to propose innovative solutions; Build trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross‑functional teams; Engage with team members to gather insights and feedback on business needs; Understand the technical requirements for tackling business challenges. Continuous Improvements & Controls (10%): Contribute to the continuous enhancement of processes by developing scalable solutions; Maintain internal controls while ensuring compliance; Document processes and specific job requirements; Collaborate closely with controls and compliance teams. Operational Duties & Oversight (40%): Monitor team progress against departmental goals; Track daily activities and ensure service level agreements are met; Plan and execute month‑end and year‑end processes; Lead regular team meetings to address operational topics and resolve issues; Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service levels and solve operational challenges; Encourage continuous improvement and innovation by empowering teams with the tools needed for automation and insight generation; Oversee the administration of financial policies; Act as the escalation point for risks or issues; Provide updates and recommendations to leaders regarding objectives, policies, program effectiveness, and team accomplishments. People Management & Team Leadership (30%): Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to direct reports; Maintain regular communication and connection with the team; Conduct performance reviews and timely feedback for team members; Recruit and hire staff; Manage diverse team dynamics with respect, encouraging strengths and skills development for a highly motivated and high‑performing group; Foster collaboration among team members; Develop a supportive and engaged team environment. Strategy & Business Development (10%): Manage transformational projects from planning through execution and reviews; Share insights on evolving processes and increasing efficiency; Drive the adoption of advanced techniques; Encourage skill development among team members. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This position typically reports to the Senior Manager. It may have up to 6 direct reports. Travel Requirements: Overnight travel is typically less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements: Most time is spent sitting comfortably, with frequent opportunities for movement. Rarely may require lifting or moving light items. Working Conditions: Work is conducted primarily indoors in a comfortable environment with infrequent unpleasant conditions. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least eighteen years of age. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: 7-8 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. 2-5 years of leadership experience managing people or projects. Experience with OTC processes in SAP S/4 HANA, including SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) and Blackline. Familiarity with various technologies such as analytics tools and AI. Ability to build queries and analyze large datasets using tools like Google BigQuery. Proven track record of identifying defects through data analysis and implementing root cause solutions. Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate findings and actions. Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred. Minimum Education: A master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study. Minimum Years of Work Experience: 5 years. Certifications: Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
