Operate mammography equipment and adjust settings to produce high-quality breast images. Prepare for and assist the Radiologist during intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies. Educate patients about the exam, promoting privacy, comfort, and adherence to infection control guidelines. Produce diagnostic-quality films and complete required documentation; disseminate patient preparation instructions to care areas. Maintain accurate patient information in the department records and EMR (Epic EMR) as part of clinical workflow. Elevate questions, problems, or significant challenges to more senior staff as needed. Requirements Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology. Licenses/ Certifications: CA Radiologic Technologist (RT) license; Radiologic Technologist (RT) and Mammography Technologist credentials required in CA; ARRT-R and ARRT-M certification required in CA; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor. Additional certifications: Mammographic Radiologic Technology (MRT) certification required. Experience: Experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred. Other: Ability to work in a hospital diagnostic imaging department; ability to adhere to a 4x10-hour shift schedule.
