Join our team of strategic advisers and architects, differentiated by our industry depth to collaborate with leading solution providers and leverage your experience in strategy, process design, technology enablement, and operational services to enable heart-of-the-business solutions.Work You’ll DoAs a Project Consultant, Senior Transportation Analyst you will:Develop, interpret, and oversee defense-wide transportation policies and regulatory frameworksApply deep technical knowledge of the Defense Transportation System (DTS) and defense Transportation and Traffic Management policies. Support senior leaders in commercial transportation industry engagement and collaborate with senior leaders across defense, OMB, NSC, and other federal agencies. Evaluate the effectiveness of transportation functions and recommend actions to enhance military effectiveness, economy, and uniformity across operations. Conduct data analysis, reporting, and category management to inform decision-making and improve efficiency. Research industry best practices and recommend process improvements to reduce redundancy and costs. QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degreeMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureActive Secret security clearance required2+ years of experience in defense transportation policies, directives, and regulations, including the Defense Transportation RegulationAbility to work on-site in Alexandria, VA up to 5 days/week (typical week 2–3 days on-site)Preferred: Experience with Maritime Administration (MARAD), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) operations1+ years of experience in sealift operationsExperience with VISA, VTA, Transportation Service Providers (TSP), and Maritime Security Program (MSP)Experience with charter, commercial, and organic sealift requirementsExperience interpreting the Jones Act and cargo preference as related to sealift requirementsExperience in defense transportation management requirements and compliance For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
