Learn more about this agency Duties Help Serving as a Training Administrator GS-1712-9/11 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Office of the Associate Director for Training Ops, Training Management Operations Directorate, Training Resources Coordination Division, Training Resources Scheduling Branch, located in Glynco, GA. The primary purpose of this position is to support training operations by planning, coordinating, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving instructional support, student administration, enterprise scheduling, classroom utilization, facility management, Practical Exercise scheduling, role player coordination, automated training systems, and enterprise training resources. Typical duties include:
- Administering and evaluating enterprise training operations by coordinating instructional requirements, student administration, scheduling, classroom utilization, instructor assignments, facility use, PRIT scheduling, role player support, equipment, and other resources to ensure effective delivery of FLETC law enforcement training programs.
- Managing enterprise training schedules and resource requirements by reviewing POIs, curriculum changes, enrollment projections, facility capacity, instructor availability, and resource allocations to identify conflicts, forecast needs, and recommend improvements to scheduling, capacity, and resource utilization.
- Serving as the functional administrator and subject matter expert for Student Administration and Scheduling System (SASS) by maintaining student and scheduling data, supporting users, developing SOPs and job aids, delivering system training, resolving scheduling or system issues, coordinating functional testing, and supporting system enhancements.
- Providing program support, analysis, and stakeholder coordination by developing reports, dashboards, trend analyses, workload studies, and briefing materials; advising leadership and stakeholders on training administration, business rules, automated systems, and process improvements; and supporting special projects, modernization efforts, and continuity operations.

- This position is Emergency Essential required to sustain operations under all conditions and/or to ensure Continuity of Operations for Mission Essential Functions or Primary Mission Essential Functions.
- One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in Federal service, that demonstrate the following: (1) Evaluating training programs for large-scale operations, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and facilities. (2) Analyzing training programs to identify resource requirements and resolve scheduling conflicts. (3) Coordinating with stakeholders to integrate actions into comprehensive training plans while maintaining alignment with organizational goals. (4) Managing enterprise training scheduling and student administrative systems to ensure accurate data, effective resource utilization, user support, and continuous delivery of training operations.; OR
- A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree related to the position being filled; OR
- Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (54 semester hours) leading to such a degree related to the position being filled; OR
- LL.M., if related to the position being filled; OR
- A combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience as described above that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.
- One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in Federal service, that demonstrating the following: (1) Reviewing training schedules, enrollment data, and resource information to identify routine scheduling conflicts, resource gaps, or administrative issues, and recommending corrective actions to higher-level staff. (2) Coordinating with instructors, training administrators, program offices, and other stakeholders to support training plans, communicate scheduling changes, and helping ensure training activities remain aligned with organizational requirements. (3) Supporting the administration of enterprise training scheduling and student administrative systems by entering, validating, and maintaining data; assisting users; preparing reports; and helping ensure continuity of training operations.; OR
- A master's degree or equivalent graduate degree related to the position being filled; being OR
- Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (36 semester hours) leading to such a degree, related to the position being filled; OR
- LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled; OR
- A combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience as described above that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement.
