Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - First Assist
TLC
Certified Surgical Technologist Cardiovascular/OR
40 hours per week, evening shift. Shifts include two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts. Shifts may occur between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Weekend rotation distributed equitably among staff.
Call duties included, with hours distributed equitably and variable. Pre-approved time off: one.
Requirements
- 5+ years total CST experience
- 2+ years cardiac & vascular experience
- 1 year CVOR experience
- 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility
- Required certification: BLS
- Experience with general OR, thoracic, vascular, and CVOR procedures (e.g., CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement)
- Charting system experience: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Scrub role required; ability to scrub and circulate in the OR
- Demonstrate aseptic technique and effective crash cart management
- Equipment documentation and cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing
- Competency verification per facility policy
Flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions only. Candidates must complete fingerprinting immediately after signing contract.
