Posting Summary - Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the CCR&R, reporting to the Sr. Program Director. The Program Coordinator will serve as the Quality Improvement Specialist (QIS) in Cumberland, Gloucester & Salem Counties, and will have primary responsibility for the planning and implementation of the NJ Quality Rating and Improvement System, Grow NJ Kids. There is a focus on recruitment and enrollment into the statewide program. The position provides staff in enrolled early care and education programs with targeted technical assistance and coaching as part of the Grow NJ Kids continuous improvement cycle. With this system, New Jersey is creating universal standards of quality for all child care and education programs (Head Start, Child Care, Preschool, etc.). Grow NJ Kids provides training and incentives to improve child care programs by providing the framework to meet high-quality standards. The QIS provides the first phase of technical assistance to help improve child care program quality and navigate through the GNJK process. This is a grant funded position contingent upon the availability of funds to support it.

Salary Details - Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.
Minimum Salary - 59893.480
Mid Range Salary - 73909.480
Maximum Salary - 87925.480

Work Arrangement - Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field (psychology, social work, or any other field related to child growth and development), or equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus two years of experience. Experience with administering structured classroom observation tools (ERS, CLASS, etc.). Must obtain rater reliability or become a state anchor within first 12 months of hire. Knowledge of NJ pre-school teaching and learning standards, NJ birth to three learning standards, and mentoring and coaching practices with program administrators and teachers. Meet New Jersey Child Care Information System (NJCCIS) registry criteria. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and execute established plans and policies. Strong organizational skills to complete work that is accurate, relevant, and timely. Fluent with Microsoft Office products.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications - Environmental Rating Scale (ERS) experience; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and develop trusting relationships a must; Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, recording and processing information; The candidate must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation as the work environment is split between the assigned office and field for site visits, community events, technical assistance and meetings. Bi-lingual is preferred but not required. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse providers. Self-starter, independent and critical thinker. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other database systems. Knowledge of the Early Learning field. Excellent written and oral communication skills; sufficient communication/presenting skills.
