Physical Therapist Weekend

Position Overview Physical Therapist (PT) – Home Care, Kettering, KY. You will provide home‑based therapy care for patients as directed by the attending physician, helping them achieve positive outcomes in their recovery journey. Schedule & Compensation Schedule: Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm. 8 PIQs a day. Rotational on‑call weekend. 1 holiday per year. Compensation includes a guaranteed base salary with an uncapped bonus structure, mileage reimbursement, and additional bonus opportunities. Responsibilities Plan and execute skilled physical therapy services ordered by the attending physician. Observe, record, and report patient reactions, changes, and progress; maintain accurate documentation. Perform OASIS assessments and adjust the plan of care as needed. Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance using techniques such as exercise, massage, heat, water, etc. Reduce re‑hospitalizations by front‑loading visits for high‑risk patients and teach preventive measures. Act as a family educator and advocate, counseling patients and families on disease/injury management and equipment use. Supervise PTAs and, when appropriate, nurse assistants; communicate supervisory visit results. Adhere to all agency policies, Medicare/Federal guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Attend in‑service training and mandatory agency meetings. Hard & Soft Skills Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude. Patience and ability to work with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers. Exceptional attention to detail and observant. Qualifications Physical Therapist licensed in the state of employment. Minimum one‑year experience in an acute care setting. Home‑care experience preferred. Must be able to work one dedicated weekend day per week. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in your name.
