MasterMold is hiring a hands-on Quality Technician for a first-shift position with a 3- or 4-day workweek and weekend coverage. You’ll support manufacturing quality control, product inspection, dimensional verification, and continuous improvement while working closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality.
Responsibilities- Inspect raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
- Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs, Keyence measurement systems, FARO Arms, and other inspection equipment.
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
- Document defects, inspection results, dimensional data, and other quality information.
- Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, containment, sorting, and rework verification.
- Assist with control plans, PFMEAs, SPC, capability studies, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
- Partner with Production and Engineering to identify and resolve product and process quality issues.
- Manufacturing quality control, quality assurance, or inspection experience.
- Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
- Experience with CMMs, Keyence measurement systems, FARO Arms, or similar dimensional inspection technology preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read work instructions, inspection criteria, prints, and technical documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, statistical process control (SPC), capability studies, control plans, PFMEAs, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma is preferred.
