Shipping/Receiving CoordinatorThe Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure the efficient flow of raw materials and finished beef products. This position works closely with Production Scheduling, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and Warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy, prioritize receiving activities, communicate with customers and carriers, and support daily shipping and receiving operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesShipping & Receiving CoordinationSet up and coordinate inbound and outbound loads to meet production and customer requirements.Schedule and confirm inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, customers, and logistics teams.Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and receiving records.Monitor shipment schedules and proactively address delays or transportation issues.Production & Inventory SupportPartner with the Production Scheduling team to prioritize receiving activities based on production needs and lead-time requirements.Coordinate receiving priorities to ensure raw materials and supplies are available to support production schedules.Complete daily inventory audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy in Receiving and Shipping areas.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's ERP or inventory management system.Customer, Carrier & Logistics CommunicationServe as a primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and order-related inquiries.Communicate regularly with the Logistics team to ensure efficient transportation planning and execution.Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries and resolve transportation-related issues.Track shipments and provide updates to Shipping, Receiving, and Scheduling Departments as needed.Supply & Team SupportOrganize, maintain, and distribute shipping and receiving supplies to support daily operations.Monitor supply inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.Support shipping and receiving personnel by ensuring necessary materials and resources are readily available.Assist with process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy within shipping and receiving operations.Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with all company policies, food safety requirements, customer specifications, and regulatory standards.Maintain accurate records in accordance with USDA, food safety, and company requirements.Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.This position plays a critical role in ensuring the timely movement of products and materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production and customer fulfillment objectives.
