THERAPIST (LICENSED)

Responsibilities San Marcos Treatment Center is a 212‑bed, seclusion‑free psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in Central Texas. The center spans 65 acres and offers two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, a sports court, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs that teach patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions, and improve social functioning. This position is part of the clinical team and functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team within the program. Responsibilities include documenting services in the clinical record, engaging in inter‑organizational care coordination, and documenting service outcomes. The therapist provides direct behavioral healthcare services to children and adolescents with mental illness in residential treatment programs, including assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, group, and family therapy, case management activities, patient and family education, and discharge and after‑care planning.
