SHIFT LEAD

As a Shift Lead , you’ll help ensure your team of co‑workers are maximizing their overall productivity during each shift, while adhering to the highest safety standards. Hourly Pay $20.00/hr. Shift(s) 1st Shift: Monday‑Thursday 5:00am‑3:30pm 2nd Shift: Monday‑Thursday 3:30pm‑2:00am 3rd Shift: Friday‑Sunday 5:00am‑5:30pm 4th Shift: Friday‑Sunday 5:00pm‑5:30am Location Lakeland, FL 33811 What You’ll Do Work with the On‑Site Manager to set shift/operating schedules to best serve the local customers. Assist with recruiting and developing employees. Ensure company policies regarding safety and HR are followed. Order and maintain supplies and arrange for office equipment maintenance. Assist with forklift driver duties as needed. Track movements in a timely/legible manner on the proper forms. Assist in managing employee relations issues locally in conjunction with the OSM. Load and unload materials from trailers and move them to the appropriate staging area within the facility. Check to make sure loads are secure. Ensure that all daily equipment checks on all industrial power equipment are performed. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Perform basic financial data entry. Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. What You’ll Need 1 year of supervisor or lead experience (preferred). High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Forklift certification. What It’s Like Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heat, cold, and air particulate. Repetitive adjustment of body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths. Forklift operators are required to sit for long periods of time. The noise level in the work environment depends on location. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection mandatory at several locations, safety shoes). Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and color vision. May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. and 75 lbs.
