Shift Lead

Location: Lakeland, FL Base pay range $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr Operations Open and close the store in absence of management, including system start‑ups, cash handling and ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready for business. Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe and provide change to cash registers. Hold and securely guard store keys for opening and closing duties. Coach teammates on vendor ordering and back‑door delivery processes. Accurately register all sales, scan errors, price verifications, voids and handle any price changes. Assist with order exceptions, reverse logistics and inventory displays. Maintain accurate inventory counts and oversee basic department pricing and signage. Assist with bookkeeping including cash reports, counts, ledgers and bill payments. Ensure store cleanliness, orderly appearance and report any maintenance issues. Assist with food item separation, stock rotation and ensuring first‑in, first‑out compliance. Use store systems and equipment proficiently. Support pharmacy out window as requested. Ensure compliance with state and local regulations for regulated products. Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store. Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and comply with all company policies. Complete special assignments and other tasks as delegated. Customer Experience Engage customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to deliver a positive experience. Model and share customer service best practices with team members, including courteous habits and Walgreens service traits. Training & Personal Development Attend training and complete required PPLs requested by the manager. Communications Act as liaison between management and non‑management team members, communicating tasks when management is absent. Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management. Basic Qualifications One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of store inventory control. Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
