Clerical/Administrative Supervisor

The Clerical/Administrative Supervisor is responsible for daily operations and workflow of the front and/or back office function of department. Responsibility includes planning and coordinating to ensure the efficiency and efficacy in support of the patient care activities, ensuring even patient flow and throughput and continuous communication between physicians and staff. Ensures compliance and adherence to all regulatory governing bodies and standards. Projects an image of professionalism in appearance and conduct. Responsible for contributing to overall performance relating to the Patient Experience.

The Supervisor is also responsible for administrative/clerical operations but not limited to, office and administrative support, purchasing and procurement, communications support, event planning and coordination, meeting coordination, and development of materials for meetings/events. Will also supervise, train, and mentor lower level staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

Diabetes Center Only: The supervisor will oversee the insurance verification process which includes verifying coverage, obtaining proper authorizations, and ensuring timely reimbursements. The supervisor will also handle complex accounts and higher volumes. Will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and internal resource for the team. The supervisor will also work on special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two (2) years in a medical office setting or related field, with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience required
• EHR, Microsoft office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or healthcare related field preferred
• Diabetes Center Only: 5 years experience in the medical field preferred and 2 years of leadership experience preferred
