Even if you feel like you don't meet all the criteria, please give it a shot, and still apply.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Plant Manager, the Welder will be responsible for, but not limited to:Ability to read and follow verbal instructions.Must have good math skills and be able to add or subtract feet, inches and fractions.Must pass 1 inch thick 2-G welder qualification.Must pass tack welder qualification (visual macro break test).Ability to use carbon air-arc for back gouging.Position RequirementsMinimum 3 years of welding structural steel experience.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Ability to read a tape measure.Ability to operate overhead cranes.Current or past AWS certification for FCAW, MCAW.Knowledge of health and safety procedures.A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.Organization skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.Communication skills–both written and oral.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Work LocationShelby Fabrication Facility2nd ShiftMonday to FridayBenefits401(k) Retirement Plan401(k) Matching ContributionsHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceVacation & Sick TimeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)
