We are modest, genuine, and authentic.Key ResponsibilitiesAble to operate various types of welding tools and various hand tools. (Including die grinders, angle grinders, etc.)Able to read drawings, blueprints, and heat numbers, if applicable.Follow and understand standard work, training guides, weld procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.May be responsible for basic robot operation, where applicable. This could include loading and unloading parts, starting and stopping robot, daily device TPM, daily operator TPMs, and to notify lead or supervisor if any welds are not within tolerance.Basic problem solving and decision making.Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements.Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment.Able to make adjustments to various fab parts to allow proper alignment.External Robot Operation/Programming Certification may be obtained based on specific criteria.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating collaboratively with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.Position may require additional responsibility and ability to work overtime hours.Other duties may be assigned.Core ExpectationsCustomer Service - Demonstrate excellent customer service and display a positive attitude and behavior consistent with the Steffes Code of Conduct and Core Values.Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) – Perform work in compliance with EHS training and identified procedures/standard work.
