We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a focused audit cleanup initiative in Rancho Murieta, California. This onsite opportunity is a Long-term Contract position suited for someone who can bring structure to financial records, work efficiently with large data sets, and maintain strong accuracy in day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling journal entries, reconciling accounts, and contributing to a well-organized close process.

Responsibilities:

• Review and organize accounting records to support audit preparation and resolve outstanding discrepancies.

• Prepare and post journal entries with a high level of accuracy and supporting documentation.

• Reconcile bank accounts and key balance sheet accounts to ensure financial data is complete and reliable.

• Support accounts payable-related accounting tasks and help verify proper coding and documentation.

• Maintain orderly records and coordinate follow-up items to keep the audit cleanup project moving on schedule.

• Use Excel to analyze financial information, track variances, and improve the clarity of supporting schedules.

• Prior experience in staff or senior-level accounting roles, preferably in project-based or audit support environments.

• Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.

• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze detailed financial data.

• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and bank reconciliation procedures.

• Experience with Great Plains is preferred.

• Ability to work onsite full-time.
