SUMMARY The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. This role includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, as well as assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up during arrival and departure. Descriptive Statements (by % of Time): 25% Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor using guest last names during interactions. Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location. Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks. 10% Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed. Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. 20% Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area. Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested. Shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location. 10% Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival. Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys. Consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system. Consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed. 35% Total amount of time for all functions of the job (100%). QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Licensure, Certification, etc.: Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state in which you are applying to work. Work Experience: One (1) month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Skills: Ability to read and write standard English; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations; perform basic arithmetic operations; understand 24‑hour or military time; understand rates applicable to time passed; operate a manual transmission (highly desirable); perform parallel parking. SCOPING / AUTHORITY Authority to Act: The job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department. Budget Responsibility: The employee has control over resources available only. COMPENSATION Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. The hourly base pay range for this position is $11 per hour plus $6‑$10 or more per hour in tips. WORK SCHEDULE Work schedule: PM – open availability. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus. Lifting: up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds constantly. Environment: majority outdoors for extended periods including extreme heat and cold weather. Travel: up to 5% may be required.
