What You Will Do Design and develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs that enhance internal operations and improve external user experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, infrastructure, and frontend engineering, to deliver impactful features. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategies as the platform expands. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and technical debt to ensure optimal system performance. Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices while mentoring junior engineers. Ideal Candidate Background Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with 7+ years preferred. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related STEM field. Proven experience in backend engineering with strong fundamentals in system design, API development, and distributed systems. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments with a high standard for engineering quality. A history of stability in employment, with no more than two job changes in the last five years. Preferred Experience with Java, Go, or Node.js, and familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis. Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Previous involvement in building or scaling systems for high-traffic, mission-critical applications.
