Today, Philo offers a package of top-rated television channels for just $25 a month. You can watch live, save unlimited shows to watch later, or browse their huge library of content available on-demand. Their services can be streamed across all devices and the web. Dog-friendly office Position Summary: You will be designing and implementing the next generation of Philo's system to handle more channels, users, and recordings. You will also be focused on developing their video pipeline building a highly available transcoding, segmentation, and video hosing and storage system. Additionally, automating system configuration, and finding cheaper, better, and faster solutions both in the cloud and hardware based-systems will be key components to the role as well. Requirements: 5+ years of experience with Back-End or Full-Stack Development in a cloud environment (bonus points for AWS) Proficient in Ruby, GO, and/or Node Experience with Kubernetes Experience working with huge databases Interview Process: First Round: 30 mins w/ Max (Talent Acquisition Manager) 45 mins with an Engineer Choice between live coding session and take home exercise for second round Third Round: 20 min demo then 4 1-hour interviews in one day Final: 1-hour discussion with CTO 1872 Consulting
