Back End Developer
PeopleServe
Back End Developer Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deploy backend services that scale, are highly available, and are easy to extend
- Build and operate infrastructure, user tooling, and deployment pipelines. As a team, we mostly build tools that deploy Containers to Kubernetes and GKE; the languages we primarily use are Golang, Python and Java
- Collaborate closely with other specialists and become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
- Take operational responsibility for the services that are owned by your team, including taking part in an on-call rotation
- We want you to bring your whole self to work and strive to foster an environment that supports your individual growth
- A valued team player in a dynamic, autonomous, cross-functional agile team that inspires others
- Experienced in designing, analyzing, optimizing code, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
- Experienced with Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, and Google Cloud Platform
- Know how to write distributed, high-performance services in Golang or Python and are experienced in deploying and operating services on Linux
- Have a systematic problem-solving approach coupled with effective communication skills and drive
- Love working on a team where you constantly learn, experiment, and iterate quickly
- You enjoy mentoring and pairing with more junior members of the team
