Emerging Middle Market Regional Manager, Director

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Manager to lead a team of relationship managers in our Emerging Middle Market Group. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience calling on companies generating $10MM – $50MM in revenue and has established relationships with customers, COIs, and key stakeholders in these geographies. Responsibilities Direct overall growth in market share within the assigned region, leveraging network and driving new client acquisition. Recruit, develop, and coach a team of relationship managers to manage critical middle‑market relationships and achieve top‑decile client satisfaction. Facilitate business development and manage key client relationships to generate significant revenue from sales and syndications. Serve as the escalation point for complex client issues, using strategic problem‑solving to resolve conflicts and maintain strong relationships. Lead the structuring, negotiation, and credit approval of high‑value, complex deals, ensuring alignment with client needs and bank objectives. Manage high‑value client portfolios, driving cross‑selling, retention, profitability, and implementing initiatives that convert opportunities into revenue‑generating sales. Lead market‑coverage strategies to expand portfolios, identify opportunities, and align with business goals. Represent the bank at industry forums and conferences, delivering insights on trends, competition, and emerging products for strategic decision‑making. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to align strategies, address client needs, and drive holistic business solutions. Deliver reports to the bank’s leadership on team performance, client satisfaction, market trends, and key strategic initiatives. Provide strategic advisory on loan products, options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements, tailoring solutions to client needs. Analyze market trends, client industry developments, and competitive positioning to inform client solution strategies and optimize satisfaction. Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to define products, solutions, and strategies that best fit client needs. Identify share‑of‑wallet opportunities and use analysis tools to grow portfolios beyond ROE thresholds. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and compliance policies, mitigating risk and maintaining service standards. Operate at a group/enterprise level, serving as a specialist resource for senior leaders and stakeholders. Apply expertise creatively to address complex, non‑routine situations and implement changes in response to shifting trends. Take measured risks while protecting the bank’s interests through the Risk Management Framework. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in Relationship Management, Account Management, or Portfolio Management within a corporate or segmented banking environment, with demonstrated sales metrics. Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred. Other related disciplines or commensurate experience considered. For Credit‑Qualified roles: credit qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills per the portfolio requirements and qualification standards. Seasoned professional possessing a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge. Advanced proficiency in Project Management, Change Management, Product Knowledge, Regulatory Compliance, Deal Structuring, Portfolio Management, Credit Risk Assessment, Customer Service, Stakeholder Management, Negotiation, and Customer Relationship Building. Salary & Benefits Salary: $122,400 – $228,000 (salaried, with potential commission). Compensation may include performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, other perks, and rewards.
