Role Description

• The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys with case management and trial preparation in a part-time, on-site role based in Phoenix, AZ.
• Preparing, organizing, and filing legal documents; assisting with discovery; maintaining case files; and tracking deadlines and court dates.
• The role involves conducting legal research, drafting and formatting pleadings and motions, and coordinating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel as needed.
• The Litigation Paralegal will also help prepare exhibits, summaries, and other materials for hearings, depositions, and trials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arizona court rules.

• Required experience supporting Arizona civil rights litigation matters.
• Experience with Arizona state court procedures, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and filing requirements.
• Skills in legal document preparation and document review for litigation matters.
• Skills in legal research to support case strategy and attorney work product.
• Experience drafting and managing pleadings and motions in accordance with Arizona court rules.
• Prior experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional interaction with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
• Proficiency with legal case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems.
• Paralegal certificate, relevant coursework, or equivalent litigation support experience.
• Candidates without Arizona civil rights litigation experience will not be considered.
