Kidney Territory Account Manager - Grand Rapids, MI - (Kalamazoo/Lansing)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Kidney Territory Account Manager for the Grand Rapids, Michigan area to build relationships with nephrologists and specialty kidney clinics, communicate product and disease knowledge, and develop strategic business plans in the rare kidney disease market.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain professional relationships with nephrologists and healthcare professionals across the territory
- Develop deep expertise on kidney disease and product clinical attributes to educate HCPs on appropriate patient use
- Analyze territory market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, and decision-maker relationships to drive engagement
- Achieve individual performance targets at territory level while contributing to regional and national team goals
- Collaborate across functional areas to address challenges and support business objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years pharmaceutical field sales experience in kidney, rare disease, or specialty biotech markets
- Product launch experience highly desired
- Expertise in clinical disease knowledge, HCP relationships, and account management
- Proficiency with Veeva CRM and IT capabilities supporting business needs
- Valid driver's license in good standing; ability to travel up to 80% by car or airplane
- Documented track record of sales success with strong ethical standards
Compensation: $133,600 - $200,400 base
