Job Title: Warehouse Receiver Job Description

The Warehouse Receiver works in a modern warehouse environment, receiving incoming materials, accurately documenting all items in internal software systems, and ensuring each part follows a strict chain of custody. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to distinguish and route parts correctly to Engineering and R&D for manufacturing, and consistent, accurate tracking of all receivables.

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, part numbers, and documentation against purchase orders or packing lists.
• Accurately record all received items using internal software systems and basic Excel spreadsheets.
• Maintain a thorough chain of custody for every part to ensure all materials are properly tracked and accounted for.
• Identify and distinguish different parts and components, ensuring the correct items are routed to Engineering and R&D for manufacturing.
• Organize, label, and stage received materials in designated areas for easy access and traceability.
• Track receivables and maintain up-to-date records of inventory movements within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with a small team in the receiving department to ensure timely and efficient processing of incoming materials.
• Follow established warehouse procedures and best practices to maintain accuracy, safety, and compliance.
• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders when discrepancies or issues arise with received materials.

• Hands-on experience working in a receiving or shipping and receiving role in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to use computers comfortably, including data entry and navigation of internal software systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for basic tracking, documentation, and record-keeping.
• Experience tracking receivables and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when verifying and documenting incoming materials.
• Ability to distinguish and identify different parts and components and route them correctly to internal teams.
• Capability to follow detailed procedures, including a thorough chain of custody for all received items.

• Experience with shipping processes is a plus but not required.
• Background in inventory control or inventory management is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems is beneficial and transferable to the internal software used in this role.
• Comfort working in a small, collaborative team environment within a warehouse setting.

You will work in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility that leverages advanced technology and modern equipment to support efficient warehouse operations. This role is based in a brand-new, state-of-the-art warehouse facility equipped with modern systems and equipment to support efficient receiving and inventory processes. You will work on a small team of about four people in the department, fostering close collaboration and clear communication. The standard hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a regular daytime schedule. The dress code is casual and practical, with jeans, shoes, and a plain shirt suitable for a warehouse environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, MA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Bedford,MA.
