Director, Artificial Intelligence

Salary: $210,000.00 - $289,000.00 Location: Santa Clara, CA Key Responsibilities Plan, manage, and control the activities of a team of analysts that provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. Lead project teams to design and develop program methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured, diverse "big data" sources. Communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service and business management so they can be incorporated into the measurement of effective business processes. Perform complex statistical and data‑mining analysis using tools such as R, SAS, and MATLAB, and contribute to the design of data acquisition systems, data structure and database design. Bring expertise or identify subject matter experts to support multi‑functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on internal and external data analysis. Help business groups understand their data by applying analytics to derive insights, working with business units to determine actions and KPIs. Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments; identify correlations to derive deeper understanding. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function. Lead or participate in project teams developing analytical models, algorithms and automated processes, applying SQL, PHP or Python programming to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets. Functional Knowledge Recognized as a "guru" or external expert in a function; demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading‑edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field. Business Expertise Influences internal or external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business.
