Since 1985, The Brook Hospitals have been providing quality mental health and addiction treatment services. The Brook KMI is a 110-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for children and adolescents. This position is available for the following shifts: Child Unit: 7a-7p 7a-3p 3p-11p 7p-7a.

As a Mental Health Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting patients on their journey toward recovery and wellness. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide compassionate care, promote a safe and therapeutic environment, and help patients develop the skills needed to achieve their treatment goals. Job Duties:

• Monitor patient safety and provide supportive care in a therapeutic behavioral health environment.
• Assist patients with daily activities, therapeutic groups, and treatment plan interventions.
• Document patient observations and collaborate with the treatment team to support positive clinical outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Education High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
• Years of experience needed No experience required. Direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
• Certifications Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Computer skills Ability to: gain training through web-based programs; participate in employee surveys; enroll in company benefits.
• Communication Must possess excellent verbal skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.
• Team work Must be able to actively participate in a treatment team environment.
• Service Excellence Consistently demonstrates all Service Excellence Standards.
