About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Intellectual Property, Marketing & Product Counsel to lead the oversight of its intellectual property and product-related compliance functions. The successful candidate will be a key partner to senior leaders across various teams, providing strategic and business-oriented legal guidance throughout the product and brand lifecycle. This includes managing the company's intellectual property and brand portfolio, overseeing legal review and risk management for marketing activities, and ensuring product safety and compliance with regulations. The role also involves leadership in litigation and dispute resolution, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage a wide range of legal disputes. Candidates for this role should have a J.D. degree, be a member in good standing of the New York and/or New Jersey bar, and have at least 10 years' of legal experience, with a preference for those who have worked in a retail organization. Strong familiarity with intellectual property matters, particularly in the retail and fashion industry, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and supervising legal teams, be adept at cost-effective management of outside legal resources, and possess excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Professionalism, a high degree of confidentiality, and the ability to pivot and reprioritize to meet shifting demands are also key attributes for this role.
