Operations Coordinator

Kiona Foundation

Overview

The Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Kiona Foundation. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking work in pediatric cancer research, family support, and community engagement. Volunteers in this role will work closely with a passionate and committed team to advance the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

Time Commitment

Expected commitment is 10 hrs/week, with flexibility based on availability and project needs. This is a remote volunteer position unless otherwise specified.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain internal tracking systems for active campaigns, volunteer schedules, and cross-departmental workflows using Microsoft for Nonprofits and project management tools.

  • Oversee weekly team check-ins and coordinate communication between leadership, research teams, and program coordinators.

  • Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for onboarding, resource management, and recurring projects.

  • Support administrative readiness for board meetings, grant deadlines, and compliance submissions.
