Position Title: IndustrialEngineer

Location: Council Bluffs 1

Purpose & Scope:

Principle Responsibilities: 

Process Optimization & Industrial Engineering

• Analyze production and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Design and optimize workflows, material handling systems, equipment layouts, and production cell configurations to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
• Evaluate and improve labor productivity, asset utilization, and process capability.
• Support automation and digitalization initiatives, including MES, SCADA, IoT sensors, and real time performance dashboards, to enhance visibility and decision making.

Quality, Food Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all process improvements align with food safety and regulatory standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF/BRC).
• Partner with Quality Assurance and Operations to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance product consistency.

Project Management & Cross Functional Execution

• Lead cross functional improvement projects from concept through implementation and stabilization.
• Develop project charters, timelines, ROI and savings analyses, and standardized progress reporting.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Maintenance, IT, and Production teams to execute equipment upgrades, layout changes, and process improvements.
• Track benefits realization and ensure alignment with business and operational priorities.

Data, Performance Analytics & Reporting

• Build, maintain, and govern KPIs related to OEE, waste, labor productivity, throughput, and cost.
• Apply statistical tools and methods to evaluate process performance and capability (SPC, DOE, variance analysis).
• Transform data into clear, actionable insights and present recommendations effectively to site and senior leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements: 

 

Education & Experience

• Proven experience in Industrial Engineering, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement, utilizing programs as Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, SMED, Kaizen, and RCA.
• Ability to perform value stream mapping analysis and time study.
• Previous knowledge in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration or equivalent.
• Six Sigma, Lean, and PMP certifications are considered a competitive advantage.

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis).
• Strong analytical capability with attention to detail and structured problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to work effectively with operational data and performance metrics.

Leadership & Behavioral Competencies

• Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong customer‑service mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within cross‑functional teams.
• High personal accountability and flexibility, making self fully available as required.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Language, Mobility & Other Requirements

• Full professional proficiency in English, written and verbal.

 

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits: 

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
